Thomas Clarkson Community College
School Interactive Classroom and Audio Visual Equipment
Hedley Solutions are a nominated EPSO (Eastern Shires Purchasing organisation) Audio Visual supplier and installer. We were contacted by Jonathan Peryer the Director of resources at the school in late June 2007. The school was due to close in July and re open in September as the Thomas Clarkson Community College.
The school had extensive plans in place to improve the teaching environment and one project was the installation of interactive whiteboards and projectors. We attended site meetings and completed a free site survey. The information collected allowed us to provide a comprehensive quotation for supply and installation of interactive whiteboards, projectors and associated works including power and data. All the quotations were evaluated by the school but it was not until late July we found we had been successful in securing the order for supply and installation of 50+ Smart boards and 70+ projectors.
Summer holiday periods are always very busy and are booked well in advance. Although fully booked for the summer break with careful planning and management we were able to start on site immediately. We worked very closely with Craig Tolley the Network manager to schedule rooms and meet a range of deadlines. Numerous other projects were being completed around the school site so we had to be very flexible in our approach. During the summer holidays we had at times up to 10no directly employed engineers on site working days. As the work involved was scheduled to continue into the school term we arranged to work evenings to eliminate disruption within the school. The installations were completed in October.
Since October we have been back to the school to completed further interactive whiteboard and projector installations.
